Issue Summary
I’m trying to import a site from a .zip file, but it keeps failing because my .sql file is too large (570.6 MB). How can I make this work?
Troubleshooting Questions
-
Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
Just this one site. -
Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
Yes.
Replication
Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!
I literally start at “import site” and select the .zip file. Everything goes well until I get the error message pictured. Once I click OK, everything disappears. Before I hit OK, I can see the entire site in the file path. It’s clear the .sql file is the issue. It’s a backup from a live site that works currently, so it should be fine.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
