Can't login to my Wordpress Site

Issue Summary

I have one “trusted” site, and one “not trusted” site. For both sites, if it Click “WP Admin”, it brings up the site with the Login dialog. Put in the User ID and password. It thinks for a few seconds, then just does nothing. It does not bring up website.
HOWEVER, if I turn on the “One-Click Admin” option, I can login into the unsecure site that way. But, if I try that on the secure site, it still brings up the dialog to enter my user id and password. The, the same “does nothing” occurs.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
The issue is on all sites, and any new sites i create.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
ONLY if I leave it “un-trusted” and turn on “One-Click Admin”

Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!
Create an unsecure site; Click WP Admin to bring up the site: Put in user ID and password. Site does not come up for me.

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @philgnfla

We had a recent bug causing issues like this for Windows users that we resolved in the latest release. Can you check and see if you have this version and if not upgrade to it and refresh?

Hello, i have updated but i still have problems in the websites i have started with version 7.0.1. I cant upload it to client server because i cant get the admin login.
Its there anyway to solve it?

I have this issue as well, but just when I try to use HTTPS (manually changing the URL inside WP from http to https). I can login using HTTP, but when using HTTPS I get stuck at the login page. I’m using the TRUST function and the auto-login.

Hi @Joao

Have you tried enabling one-click admin or creating a new user manually?
