CANT LOGIN INto WP dashboard

when i make a new site and try oepning, it asks to login ofc. i try to login but it just refreshes when i press login

i have triued deleting cache, tried other search engines, tried instalingg and making it in windows sandbox. the same issue. i cant login.

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
    all the new sites i make and try to login into

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
    yes i can make it but i cant access it since i cant login into it

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    the latest local for now (ig this issue started ever since i updated the local)

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

It only can log in via the one click admin button, otherwise it will keep redirecting to login page

It sounds like you’re running into a known bug right now that I’ll share below. Our engineering team is aware of this and working on a resolution. We don’t have a specific ETA to provide yet but they are working on it right now.

I’m having the same problem. Just installed the software today. What’s the one click admin button?

To newbies like myself. I just discovered there is an option labeled “one-click admin” you have to turn on before the logon button works.

wp_config
wp_config-sample

delete wp_config
then restart local

100% works when you install. Just put in database: local username: root password: root and you’re good to go.
