Can't push files from Local to WP Engine

What issue or error are you experiencing?

I can’t push files from Local.app to staging on WP Engine, but I can push the database by itself.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

You’d have to have all my files, which is impossible. WP Engine tech support says this error log entry indicates the issue:

{“class”:“WPEPushService”,“error”:{},“level”:“error”,“message”:“Error in WP Engine connect”,“sentryEventId”:“8cf2066620ea44ddad53fb24eeba4514”,“stack”:“Error: rsync process existed with code 23\n at ChildProcess. Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @heather0702

If there are any references in your log to errors with the mu-plugins directory then you might be running into this bug:

If you’d like us to verify we’ll need the rest of your logs. There are some different ways to access and share Local Logs. For us to be able to troubleshoot thoroughly, please click the Download Local Logs button from the Support tab in Local. This will generate a zip archive that contains the Local log along with some other diagnostic information to help quickly zero in on any issues that Local is encountering.

Hi @heather0702! We have a Beta release out with recent bug fixes. Could you give this a test and see if it helps? It will be separate from your regular Local app, so you’ll have to reimport whatever site you’re working on into it.

Glad to hear it @heather0702! We should have the regular release out soon and then you’ll be able to just update your regular app. For now you can continue to use the Beta if you wish
