When I attempt to upload an image from the live link version of a site, (name).localsite . io, it doesn’t upload the image and gives me this error:
The uploaded file was only partially uploaded.
I need to give temporary access to the site to a plugin creator to bugtest something and they need to be able to upload images…
Troubleshooting Questions
Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
This is happening on all of the Local sites I’ve tested so far, just on the live link version.
Replication
What I explained above should work to replicate it

Attach the Local Log. See this Help Doc for instructions on how to do so: local-lightning.log (819.7 KB)
Live Links only allow the site to be viewable, but it is unable to be interacted with in any way. In order to “share” the site with a developer you’ll have to export it and send it to them so they can import it on their end.
The alternative would to use a Demo site that is hosted somewhere to upload the site to. For example Flywheel offers free 14 day demos. You could push the site there, and then give your Developer collaborator access to interact with the site.
Well then. That’s understandable, but also at the same time rather frustrating.
We have the actual site hosted on Flywheel already, but I have no access to the billing portion of the site so I doubt I can set up a demo if it’s technically a “free trial”, as those usually require billing information.
I’ve also found it difficult in the past to convince a plugin developer’s support to create a whole Flywheel account specifically to help with one person’s site rather than just letting them access the sftp without additional signups, so the collaborator option isn’t the greatest solution.
Thanks though, for that clarification!
That’s understandable! We are exploring other ways to help make Local easier for group collaboration. In the meantime, your best option outside of adding them as a collaborator to your Flywheel site would be to just export and send them a copy of the Local site. Once they are done with it they can export it and send it back for you to re-upload.
