Cloned site creates duplicates of images in the media browser

Bug Summary

When I clone one of my sites and open the cloned site, I see 5 duplicates of each images in the media browser.

Steps to reproduce

Step 1.
I right click on my site and choose “Clone site”.

Step 2.
I start the newly cloned site and log in to my cloned site.

Step 3.
I click on Media in the left menu of Wordpress.

Step 4.
I see 5 duplicates of each image in my image library in the cloned site. When comparing it to the original site, there’s only one image of each image in the original site in the media browser before cloning. If I go the the local folder of the cloned site, there’s no duplicates from what I can see.

Environment Info

Describe your environment.

  • What Operating System are you using?
    Mac OS Ventura 13.3.1
  • What version of Local is installed?
    Version 6.7.1+6369

I have tried cloning it several times, restarted my Mac between cloning. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi there @Yngve - welcome to the Local community!

I tried to reproduce this bug and didn’t see 5 duplicates of the image.

Perhaps there is a plugin, theme, or add on causing an issue here.

Are you using a specific theme? Are you using any Local add ons? Are you using any plugins related to media files?

One thing you can try to do also is create a new Local site with the default theme and settings, add a single media file, clone, and see if the file is duplicated.

Let me know!
