Hi, I’m building a site and the local won’t start… won’t let me add a duplicate of the site… I need to get in there to migrate! Please help… here is the log.

Will someone please contact me?

I don’t know code… or how to use Terminal… and all this lingo to fix the Local by Flywheel. I have had so many problems with this local. I need to launch this website by January 31st! It is stuck on start up and I can’t get in… someone please help.

I apologize for the trouble!

Can you please try the following?

  1. Quit Local if it’s running
  2. Open VirtualBox
  3. Right-click on local-by-flywheel
  4. Go to Close » Power Off
  5. Re-open Local

Also, I would recommend upgrading to Local 2.2.3.

If you still run into issues after doing that, please provide the local-by-flywheel.log file again and screenshots of what you’re seeing.

I don’t have Local running, and when I opened VirtualBos, the Local-By-Flywheel was already off.

I have downloaded the new version of Flywheel.
It seems to be working now.

So now I am afraid to pack it up for upload to the Hostgator live site. Yesterday I exported it and Hostgator couldn’t get it loaded on to the site. (Maybe it was something I did wrong, I unloaded the zip and FTP’d it to the Hostgator server.) Will you please advise the steps to do this?
