Despite trusting the SSL certificate in the Local website settings, Firefox is still too scared of my site to open it.
Any suggestions?

You gotta always make sure the SSL’s CA is known & trusted first. You won’t get anywhere if the browser doesn’t know who signed the cert, if they’re trustworthy.
I’m looking for a solution that suits Local “Lightning” at the moment.
Might just need to write up something custom and use the old stand-by: mkcert
