Domain.dev now redirecting to my live site

So started local today, and now my local domains that have the same 2nd level domain as their live sites are all trying to redirect to live.

So…

domain.dev is trying to direct to a version of domain.com, the URI bar is still showing domain.dev, but I am getting an error message from my cloud hosting provider.

If I turn off my wifi, then the domain resolves to the local domain.dev

However, I tried signing in, password was incorrect!!! so I opened mysql and checked, same stupin insecure password… ‘password’

All good…

wouldn’t work
tried changing the password in sequel, still won’t work… which is just crazy

So tried changing the password from WordPress, goto open MailHog
Mailhog doesn’t open

One of my local sites is directing me to do a wordpress installation… its public folder has the wp-config, and it’s database is all still there.

then tried other local links, link to visit site, does nothing…

I haven’t changed a thing locally, but seem to be having a cataclysmic collapse across the board.

I am going to try the pre-release see if that helps, otherwise it seems I will need to reimport all my sites from backups…

So after installing 2.1.0 prelease, the problem with dev redirecting is gone…

Mailhog not logging in is a chrome issue, all links from all software are opening blank windows.

Swapped out chrome for firefox, can use mailbag.

Changed user password with wp-cli, but my bad, forgot about password hashing and not being able to just change passwords directly.

So…

My only problem is the site that is trying to reinstall wordpress…

I tell a lie…

All my domain.dev sites are trying to point to my live sites…

The reason I thought it was fixed, is that I am in China. So when Chrome can’t contact google, ie when my vpn is off, all of the local .dev domains resolve fine.

As soon as my VPN is on, and Chrome can reach google, all my local .dev sites direct to the live sites, this is only when using Chome.

I am having the sameish issue. I do know Google just bought .dev so you can not use that url anymore. It seems the only sacred url is .test so you have to use that now.

However I changed mine to .test and it is still redirecting to my live site.
