Duplicator migration fails - 'AJAX ERROR! STATUS:0 timeout'

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Migrating a Duplicator site backup fails with: ‘AJAX ERROR! STATUS:0 timeout’

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

  1. Create a New Site → 2) Make a Custom Enviroment → 3) Copy Duplicator sitefile.zip & installer.php to site root → 4) Initiate Duplicator deployment

Duplicator starts replacing the site. After the stages Cleanup Tests → Final Wordpress Tests it fails. I have included screencapture of the fail message and the ajax log. They don´t reveal much:

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hey @Vellu! It seems to be kind of a generic Duplicator error but something I’ve seen work for a couple users at least is just disabling all plugins and then trying again.

If you’re still having trouble you might check with Duplicator support directly:

Of course if we can help answer anything else keep us posted!

Hey! The problem was indeed a Duplicator related issue. It was solved by disabling all other plugins on the live site before making a backup for transfer to LocalWP. Then the restoring to LocalWP went without errors. Thank you for the links you provided. :folded_hands:
