Error 502 with windows 10 Pro 21H2, no version of Local displayed

Issue Summary

New to WP, 502 error when trying open and build first site. No Local version displayed. Windows 10 Pro

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser? No

Replication

Describe the steps that others can take to replicate this issue. If you have screenshots that can help clarify what is happening, please include them!
Installed local and allowed every permission prompted. Dashboard displays all info except WP Local version (infinite loading). When I try to open the site, I get the 502 bad gateway error. nginx/1.16.0

  • Which version of Local is being used? 7.0.1

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used? Windows10 Pro 21H2

    • For example: macOS Catalina or Windows 10 Professional

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

The error in your log looks like this:
