Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
We have a Windows Troubleshooting guide below that goes over some common items worth checking. For example, ensure that Local is running as an administrator, that there are no security blockers, and that Local has access to update the Hosts file.
You might also try changing your Router Mode to Localhost if you continue to have trouble.
Thank you for confirming you tried those @Daniel_Chuks
Could you go to the question mark on the left hand side of your Local app, scroll down and click the Download Local Log from there? This will generate a zip archive that contains the Local log along with some other diagnostic information to help us investigate.
Are you using any other developer applications @Daniel_Chuks? That could be creating similar interference as well.
The errors in the log still seem to indicate something like security or antivirus is getting in the way. If you’ve tried disabling those, you may need to quit and restart Local to try and refresh.
In your screenshots above does your user have a space between Daniel and Chuks? I just noticed that, usually that throws a different type of error but could also be a problem on Windows devices.
We’re running out of things to check off here, but it still seems like something on the device or network is preventing connections. So you could try creating a different user on the same device, or connect on a different network. Otherwise you might have to test on a different device if you access to one.
If you wanted to do a full refresh first, you could try these steps:
Fully uninstall Local from your computer with the Windows steps here: Uninstall Local - Local
Install the latest version of Local on this link: Releases - Local
Once installed, please restart the computer.
When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background (AntiVirus, Firewall, and other Developer applications included).
