Error: Uh-oh! Unable to import site. There has been a critical error on this website

Issue Summary

Linux Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
I’ve done complete deletion of site, and uninstall steps for Local on Linux. Reinstalled Local, issue still persists with site.

All reported errors below have been modified to redact confidential information of domain and user folder.

Window Error prompt appears near the end of a pull import via API credentials. Most of the site files are there, it seems that this part happens when it gets to the DB.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
Just one. Tried the import for separate working environments, development, production. Issue still persists.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

  1. Create site
  2. Perform a pull from WP Engine
  3. Select Production environment and include database
  4. Error appears towards the end of the pull

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?

    • Linux Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
  • Attach the Local Log. See this Community Forum post for instructions on how to do so:

Prefer to send this to you privately and not through this public forum.

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
