Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
Do you have any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking Local?
Are you running other developer applications simultaneously? That could also cause similar issues. Apps like MAMP, XAMPP, or Docker for example.
It could also be a browser extension getting in the way, so you could try using a different browser, or connecting to a different network. If you’re using an office network for example it could have a firewall blocking your request.
I don’t have anything like you have asked me. The XAMPP I have is always in quit and all cleared mode, so it has no affect to Local. upon doing some hit and trial with my system and browser i found that we need to delete the setting from site settings in the browser, also in the google account third party services. I have been trying three to four time and this is not showing the error for “forbidden- 403”. I hope there will be something your team can come up with for the ease of LocalWp users.
Does it work better if you use a different browser?
Are you using a VPN?
What about if you connect on a different network, or use a LTE hotspot?
If you still have consistent issues no matter what and you need to share the site you might consider an alternative workflow like using a Demo site. For example Flywheel offers free 14 day demos here: Demo Site
I am facing the same thing regardless of the procedure I follow. Please have a look into it so that i can help my client to show the website see the page without putting in any server.
There isn’t anything we can do to “force” this to work from your machine/connection, unfortunately. So if none of the workarounds are able to get this sorted your only option may be to take it to a Demo site. Another alternative would be to have your Client install Local, and then you could send them a zip export of the site that they could import and view that way.
