GoDaddy sub directory running PHP 5.6

Hello,

My old site was running on PHP 5.6 and had to create a new site. I cloned the old site to an unused domain, which was completely accessible when switching PHP version in the Godaddy backend, the new site I was building was compromised with malware so I had to start over, deleting all sub directories. I have complete backup from when it was functional, but I do not know how to access the sub directory using Local. So basically it located in folder backup-xxxxx/homedir/public_html/oldsite

The new, root site was being created in PHP 8+, the old site I need to access in the sub directory was 5.6ish.

I can’t figure out how to access that old site. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

Greg

Hello @gmarankie - welcome to the Local community!

Did you follow the steps shared here in this help doc to import your site?

Perhaps using WP Migrate to export would allow you to export just the site you want to work with outside of the subdirectory and then you can import into Local as a standalone site.

Let me know if that helps!

Sam
