Hi! I am trying to upload a backup of my website to Local. I have the .zip file backup from BackWPup, and have uploaded that folder to Local. It starts to load in the files, but then I encounter these:
I have already checked the the hosts file has the read-only attribute removed, so not sure what the problem is there. Additionally, don’t know why the SQL files are not uploading.
Hey @skites , Welcome to the Local Community Forums!
Usually when Local encounters the first error of not being able to edit the hosts file, there is something that is preventing Local from editing it. There’s usually a popup that asks for permission to edit that file, so it’s possible that’s showing up off screen. When importing, can you be on the watch for that sort of dialog?
For the second error, that’s more of a warning indicating that Local found a few sql files that it tried to import but couldn’t for some reason. The names look suspicious to me – are you sure that they are real sql files?
In order to get more details about the issue, can provide the Local Logs? You can get a zip of those logs by clicking the “Download Local Log” button from the “Support” tab of Local. See this help doc for more information:
