Hosts file permission on Pixelbook Linux

Issue Summary

I was unable to complete installing wordpress in local on my Pixelbook Linux computer.

It believes there’s a permission issue with the hosts file and tells me I am running an anti-virus. I do not have an anti-virus.

Troubleshooting Questions

  • Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular? All.

  • Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser? No.

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    Google Chrome OS version 85.0.4183.133
