Haven’t used Local in a while but I have an old install of Wordpress that I need to get information from. Last time I needed to do this I was able to install Local and get the info I needed, but that was back at version 3.2 or 3.3 of Local. The links to those are no longer in the release notes.
We don’t have anything that far back available on the releases page as you mentioned. While we may be able to dig up an older version is there a particular reason you need it? Are you trying to do some work with an older version of WordPress? You should be able to use the recent version of Local with an older WordPress version depending how far back you’re trying to go.
Yes, I need the older php. We are in the process of updating things, but we need to be able to see the old site to replicate it properly. The code runs on php 5.3 … even php 5.4 gives deprecated warnings but we can suppress those. With php 5.6 and newer, the code will not work.
I checked with our dev team, and older versions of Local were stored on a CDN that has since been sunset, so don’t have anything available to share that far back.
As far as other potential workarounds for you, you could try compiling your own PHP utilizing something like Docker.
Or looking around the web there are some potential hosting options out there that still allow for versions that far back. So that could be another option for you to troubleshoot this site.
