PHP 7.2 is currently at Beta 3 http://php.net/archive/2017.php#id2017-08-17-1 and targeting RC at the end of the month.
We need to start testing against it soon and having it in Local, even as beta support natively would be a help.

PHP 7.2 was officially released today. It would be nice to have support in next release of Local.
