Importing existing live site

When I try and import a site some way into the process, I get error message

Could you provide what version of Local you’re on and your OS?

Additionally could we get a copy of your Local Log? Retrieving Local’s Log File

Hi thanks for your message. the version of local is 6.5.1+6195. I am using IOS High Sierra version 10.13.6

Hi @ianroffe! A consistent error in the logs looks like Error: EACCES: permission denied which is looking like some security setting might be blocking Local from creating a folder. Unless the Local config folder was moved somewhere else?

Regarding the Error: ENAMETOOLONG you may need to unzip the site and try to examine the actual filename and see if it can be edited down.

Let us know if you run across any other errors or details while checking the above!

Nick I am afraid what you are asking me to do, is outside of my knowledge.

Where did the site originate from? Is it hosted somewhere currently?

It is a site that I built myself and presently hosted by UK2

Hi @ianroffe

As far as the first error, do you have any antivirus, security, or firewall applications that could be blocking Local?

As far as the second error, it’s just a matter of renaming the file so that the name is shortened and not including any special characters.
