Importing Jetbackup Files into Local?

Hello,

I would like to test the backups provided by my hosting provider.
They provide 30 days worth of backups under JetBackup in the cPanel.
There are separate file and database backups.

Is it possible to combine these in some way to create a zip file that I can use to import the site into Local?

Best Regards,

Steve

Local is pretty flexible in terms of the ways you can get sites into Local. Basically, if you have a zip file that contains the wp-content folder along with a database export as a .sql file, you should be good to go!

All you need to do is drag-and-drop that zip onto Local to start the import process!

This help doc outlines that process in a little more detail:

Thank you Ben, I’ll give that a go.

Hi Ben,

I created a zip which contained the following:
.sql file
wp-content folder

I’ve imported the zip into local.

The site runs but there are no images.

Is there something else I need to provide?

Best Regards,

Steve

Hi Ben,

I’ve managed to import the site OK with the images.
I just put all the Wordpress directories and the .sql file into a zip together.
Took some time to import but it seems to be working perfectly now.

Thank you once again for your help.

Best Regards,

Steve

Awesome! Getting some of these sites to import cleaning can be tricky, but I’m glad you got it working!
