Imports HTTPS 500 error from too many redirects

I’m getting a 500 error now when I import sites with Duplicator plugin.

Everything sets up but when I try to access the site it says

"domain.local is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

This only happens when I enable SSL and change the local URL to https. Not sure where this redirect loop is?
