I want to add multiple anchors to an image that scroll down to text at the lower part of the screen. Here is a screenshot that shows a map – I want to link to the text below. I see how to add anchors text to text, but not with images. Is this possible? Is it in Wordpress and I don’t recognize it? Or do I need a plugin? Thanks.
Hey @Nick-2024
You should be able to add multiple anchors to an image in WordPress, and you don’t necessarily need a plugin for this because I think it can be done via HTML. That said I don’t have a handy guide or walkthrough so you might have to do some searching and trial and error if that’s the route you want to go.
For some plugin recommendations, I did some searching and found these:
Image Map Pro for WordPress - This plugin has a visual editor for creating image maps with clickable areas.
Easy Smooth Scroll Links - This plugin can add a smooth scrolling effect when clicking the image anchors.
Thanks for you reply! I’m going to check out these two plugins.
Can you explain exactly what you are trying to do? Your explanation is a little vague. It sounds like you want to click on an image and have it scroll to 2 pieces of text using 2 anchors? I don’t see how that makes sense. Happy to help you with a little better explanation.
Thanks for response. I’m going to rethink how I want to do this.
Sounds good @Nick-2024! If you have any other questions or concerns about using Local specifically, don’t hesitate to reach back out. We are always happy to help!
