Is this an app-related error or a server-side issue?

What issue or error are you experiencing?

A different WordPress site installed on the same server a year ago works fine and can be accessed from Local.

Three days ago, I installed the latest version of WordPress on the same server, but when I try to create a new site from Local, an error occurs during the installation process, and the installation stops.

I tried installing Local on another computer for the first time and attempted to create the same site, but the same error occurs, and the process stops as well. This suggests that the issue is not specific to the computer.

When I contacted my hosting provider, they advised me to inquire whether the issue is caused by the app or the server.

Could you please help determine whether this is an app-side error or a server-side issue?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @miona001!

The issue has to do with Special Characters in your user name I believe which is a known Windows bug. We have some more details about it in our Windows guide here, but the simple fix is to create a new user without any special characters.

I appreciate your courteous support.
Thank you very much.
