Issue with most recent update

I updated to the newest version (8.1.0) today on my Windows 11 laptop. I have been using Local v7 for the past month or two without issue. I did uninstall v7 due to other threads on this site stating that it would be for the best to uninstall the older version before installing the newest one. Today’s update completely broke any sort of way I can use this. Due to the error message below, I am not able to finish a project that needs to be finished today. I need this fixed immediately.

If you create a new, blank site in Local can you access that okay? If you can, then you may want to try reimporting the site getting the errors. The steps would look like this:

  • Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
  • Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
  • Restart Local/your machine
  • Reimport the site back into Local. You can refer here on how to Restore from only Local site files

I was able to retrieve some of the info. Thank you. I will keep working to recover the rest of my project.
