Issue Summary

I’ve downloaded local-6.4.3-mac.dmg and double-clicked but the update won’t open.

So did you already have Local installed and you’re just trying to do the manual update to 6.4.3?

Have you tried a reboot of your machine yet?

For a more aggressive refresh, you could also give these steps a try:

  • Export any sites that you have on Local and save them to a folder somewhere on your computer.

  • Fully uninstall Local from your computer.

  • Install the latest version of Local on this link.

  • Once installed, please restart the computer.

  • When the computer is restarted and turned on, close any applications that automatically run in the background (AntiVirus, Firewall, and other Developer applications included).

  • Check and see if the issue still persists.

If I uninstall my current version of LocalWP and install the latest version (6.4.3) will it delete the sites I currently have in the database?

How do I export my current sites in my LocalWP? I see Export (see image below) but it is grayed out.

Hi @lbohen - if you start the site, you’ll be able to export and save it as a zip on your computer. That way when you reinstall Local you can just import that zip back into the app.
