Local application states “Adding WordPress” but just seems to hang at this screen for quite some time
Troubleshooting Questions

Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?
It is happening for about three sites that I am trying to create from scratch. -
Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?
No
Replication
- Click on Add Local Site
- Click on ‘Create a new site’, click Continue
- Enter a site name, click on Continue
- Click on Custom, set PHP version to 8.0.22, set Web server to Apache 2.4.43, set Database to MySQL 8.0.16 - click on Conitnue.
- Enter WordPress username and password, click on Add Site
- States Provisioning Services…, then opens Windows 11 command line to setup Host Redirection, then states ‘Adding WordPress’ and just hangs at this stage.

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
