Local site not starting, bunch of errors

Hi, I am new to LOCAL and after setting up a new WP site, this local site is not starting after I relaunch Local ( I got to switch my laptop off at some point, right! )

Here are the errors I have popping up:
Uh-oh! Unable to start site.
Error: Command failed: /Users/ncrosina/Library/Application Support/Local/lightning-services/mysql-8.0.35+2/bin/darwin-arm64/bin/mysqladmin ping

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @ncrosina

If you create a new, blank site in Local can you access that okay? If you can, then you may want to try reimporting the site getting the errors. The steps would look like this:

  • Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
  • Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
  • Restart Local/your machine
  • Reimport the site back into Local. You can refer here on how to Restore from only Local site files

This works everyone! Thank You Nick and your team, this method took less than 5 minutes to get me back to working on my site.

Glad to hear it @valcourt1! @ncrosina were you able to get things working again as well?

I was able to get my website back and it did capture most of my saves, but I had to go back and re do certain parts. Unfortunately the new staging site was short lived and I encountered the same error again but this time I already saved all of my work and exported it. I still like localwp, but I am currently finishing my site elsewhere.

Okay thank you for following up @valcourt1! If you have any other questions or concerns don’t hesitate to reach back out. We are always happy to help!
