Local site suddenly shows “404 Not Found” with nginx

Hello,

I’m having an issue with one of my WordPress sites in Local.

The site was working normally before, but now I can no longer access it.

Local shows the site as running (green status), but when I click “Open site,” the browser displays the following error:

404 Not Found
nginx/1.26.1

The site information in Local is:

  • Site name: yokohama_staging

  • Site domain: yokohamastaging.local

  • Web server: nginx

  • PHP version: 8.2.27

  • Database: MySQL 8.0.35

  • Multisite: No

I have already tried:

  • Stopping and restarting the site

  • Restarting Local

  • Changing Router Mode to localhost

  • Opening the site again after changing the Router Mode

Unfortunately, the issue still persists.

I have attached screenshots showing the site information in Local and the 404 error.

Could you please help me identify what might be causing this issue and how I can fix it?

I would especially like to avoid reinstalling or deleting the site because it contains a WordPress site I am currently working on.

Hi @sarang17! If you create a new, blank site in Local does that open up okay?
