Local super slow after cancelled import

I use the import feature from exported sites in my support job so I can load locally for testing and troubleshooting. On one import, I realized I had the wrong zip file and began clicking cancel to halt the process. I delighted the site instance and made sure the folder was gone from Local Sites.

Since then, Local still works, but it starts super slow and going from screen to screen is super slow as well. I suspect there are some files still lingering from that botched import (which was my fault).

In past tickets, I was told where to delete some Local system files to solve an issue, but I cannot recall where they were. Is that the solution here? And if so, can you kindly direct me on any system files I should clear out?

Hi @gscoolidge! There was actually a recent issue with our latest update where some MacOS users were experiencing extreme slowness after updating due to having the Intel version of Local running on their device instead of the Apple Silicon one. Could you check if that’s the case for you? You should be able to swap to the correct one to resolve this moving forward. More details here:

Thank you so much! This is SO fast now!

I was sure it was my fault, but the timing must have been around a recent update.

I got everything working after following that list that ended with the mailpit thing.

I did have an issue with https not being recognized, even though I do the whole Keychain access steps, but a full reboot of my MBP resolved it.

Have a great day!
