Local won't create new sites on fresh apple m1 install

Bug Summary

I formatted my hard drive and reinstalled the operating system, I then downloaded Local and whenever I try to start a site or pull one from WPengine or Flywheel I get an error

Steps to reproduce

Get a Mac Mini M1, create a Mac OS X ventura boot disk, format your hard drive, reinstall the OS, download local, try to create a site.

Describe your environment.

  • What Operating System are you using? Mac OS X 13.4.1 (22F82)
  • What versions of site software (Nginx, Apache, PHP, MySQL) is used? N/A, didn’t get that far
  • What version of Local is installed? 7.1.0+6396

Hi @epicsupreme - as you’re on an M1 machine, I’m assuming you’re using the Apple Silicon build of Local? Do you have Rosetta 2 installed on your machine?

Some of the binaries that ship with Local still require Rosetta to function. If you don’t have this installed, just launch a Terminal window and run softwareupdate --install-rosetta and you should be set.
