LocalWP App Opens to Black Screen How to Fix?

Hi everyone,

I recently installed LocalWP Local by Flywheel on my system, but when I launch the app, it only shows a black screen and does not load any interface elements. I tried restarting my computer, reinstalling LocalWP, and running it in administrator mode, but the issue persists.

I also checked my system resources, and there doesn’t seem to be any high CPU or memory usage while LocalWP is running.
System Details:

LocalWP Version: Latest
Operating System: Windows 11 / macOS Ventura / Linux
Issue Behavior:
LocalWP launches, but the window stays black with no content.
No error messages appear, but the app is unresponsive.
Tried clearing LocalWP cache and reinstalling—no effect.
Other applications on my system are working fine.

Could this be related to a corrupted installation, graphics rendering issue, or an Electron framework problem?

Has anyone else faced this issue, and what solutions worked for you? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi @cowem

Does your device have plenty of disk space available?

Is this a personal device or one issued by an employer?

We have a Windows Troubleshooting guide below that goes over some common items worth checking. You might double check for example that you don’t have any security blockers.
