Locked hosts file?

I have installed v-6.7.0 on both my Debian Lixux platform and my Windows 10 Laptop (for portabilty). the Linux went flaulessly, but the Windows generated an error:
Local ran into a problem when trying to update the host file.
Please ensure that the host file is not locked by anti-virus

It thatwere the case, I would hve thought that Makwarebyte would have caught it.

Pointers towards a solution will be much appreciated.

Hi @stephenmolnar

This is usually because something is blocking Local. This could be antivirus, firewall, or some other security application. Are you able to rule that out?
