Mojave & Local 2.4.2 won't access sites in shared folder

Hello

Local sites residing in a shared folder on a NAS, can’t be accessed from Local 2.4.2 on a new Mac running Mojave.
I can create a new site, but how can Local “see” the older local sites in this folder?
