I have just installed Local (Version 5.9.8 + 5191) on a Mac running Catalina. I have 2 Wordpress websites on the same webhost, using the same WP theme, and not all that different in size - the zip backup files containing files and DB are both around 100 Mb. I imported both websites.
One website loaded correctly and quickly and I can open it. No worries. But the other gives me the error message “Warning! This site’s Wordpress URL settings do not match the host set in Local.” Pressing the “Fix” button makes no difference.
If I try to “Open Site” I get a blank browser screen with the URL shown as “https://sitename.local/?cache-buster=1423” - the numbers seem to vary.
If I try to go to Admin, I get a similar result - blank screen and the URL is “https://sitename.local/blog/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F%3Fcache-buster%3D865”.
Sometimes (I have tried re-installing four times) I get a different error message: “Heads up! Your site is using HTTPS bu the Local SSL certificate isn’t trusted.” But if I click the “Trust” button then the previous error message returns.
Does this make sense to anyone please? What should I do? Thanks.
