Issue Summary
Initially, LocalWP produced an error when trying to trust the SSL through the LocalWP app.
Manually trusting the SSL cert in Keychain Access means LocalWP says the SSL is now trusted.
However, the browser does not trust the SSL cert, even after clearing the browser cache and loading in incognito.
Troubleshooting Questions
Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular? Just one, which I cloned from another LocalWP site (mandoe.local
).
Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser? Yes.
System Details
Which version of Local is being used? 6.7.1+6369
What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used? macOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a)
Attach the Local Log.
local-logs1.zip (201.3 KB)
Hi @s.doig
It could be tied to your network. Do any of these resolve the issue?
Restarting your device
Restarting the network router/modem
Using a VPN connection
Using another network or LTE Data hotspot
Adding a cache-breaking path to the end of the site that’s cached. Adding /? followed by any 4 random characters (/?1234 for example) will sometimes break the cache as well.
Hi there @s.doig -
Following up here - were you able to try any of @Nick-B ’s suggestions above to get it all working?
Sam
Hi @sambrockway @Nick-B
No changes were made to Local or the site or to the OS, but the issue no longer occurs, so looks like a restart might have solved it.
Thanks,
Steve
