One of my four "local sites" is suddenly "grayed out" so can't be selected

One of my local sites is “grayed out” so cannot be selected from the menu. What would cause this and how can I fix it? Would I search for an error log?

Hi Mary,

Can you please provide a screenshot of what you’re seeing?

Also, have you tried closing and re-opening Local?

Here is the screen shot. Yes, I have closed it, shut donwn the computer and restarted everything and the problem persists. I have version 2.0.6 and on a Mac 10.12.6

Hi Mary,

That simply means the site isn’t running. Here are a few ways you can start the site:

  • Click on the gray circle. It’ll change to a green play button when you hover the icon.
  • Click on the site and then click on Start Site in the top-right
  • Right-click on the site in the sidebar and go to “Start Site”
