Problem with Live Link and Bedrock

Hi there,

I’ve a problem with Bedrock and Live Link.

If I create a new site in Local and don’t change any settings, Live Link is working perfectly. I can access my site on my desktop and on other devices like my phone.

The problem
When I start using bedrock and change the root path in the site.conf.hbs to the full path of the bedrock/web directory, I still can reach my site on my desktop even with the Live Link URL, but when I use another device the website is not loading anymore. I don’t get errors, but loading is stuck and it will not display my site.

SSL is running fine.
Server: NGINX
PHP: 7.4.1
MYSQL: 8.0.16
No plugins used. Just a fresh bedrock/wordpress install.

I tried and read everything, but I can’t get it to work. Can someone help me?

Hey @steef – Welcome to the Local Community Forums!

Local doesn’t officially support Bedrock configurations, so there’s likely some sort of incompatibility between Bedrocks configuration and Live Links.

Because of how differently configured a Bedrock site is than what Local expects of a WordPress site, I’m not sure if there’s an easy way to get this working. You might want to create a feature request for Local to better support Bedrock installations!
