"Push to WP Engine" does nothing and returns to site dashboard

What issue or error are you experiencing?

When I try to push to WP Engine files are enumerated but when I click “Push to WP Engine” it just returns to the dashboard for that site.

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

I go to push to WP Engine and this error happens repeatedly. It works with smaller site pushes (~0.4mb) but this site (~100mb) fails with no message.

System Details

  • Local Version: 7.1.2+6410

  • Operating System (OS) and OS version: macOS Ventura 13.4.1 (c)

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

When you say “no message” - Local just returns to the Site Overview tab, and you don’t see the progress bar indicating a push is happening?

That is odd, I haven’t seen that one before! Can you go to the Get help tab in Local share the .zip file that is generated from this button? It will contain some additional logging specific to Connect than we can use to see if Local is hung up somewhere.
