Quit & Install button does nothing. Does not update. Until Computer is restarted manually

I tried to update local. I have 2.4.3 installed on macOS Sierra 10.12.6. After clicking on “Update Available”

and downloading, I tried to click the Quit & Install Button, but nothing happened. Nothing. The button has a hover effect but then does nothing.

Any thoughts? I am new to local — maybe this is not the way to update? Thanks!

Problem solved: I restarted my computer manually for another reason and saw that Local had updated.
