Read website directly from a folder, to enable cross-platform development

Hi,
I run multiple OS on my system, and I switch frequently between them. I have created a WPLocal website which resides on a common shared disk. I want to be able to use it from my Linux and Mac. I am aware that I can recreate a website from the files manually, like here

Can we have some option to automate this process.
Basically, I want to just launch WPLocal (from any OS), and point it to my website folder, and get it up running.

Thanks

This is a good idea. I actually thought it was already the case but I didn’t have the chance to test it yet.
Since all necessary files should be stored in ./conf for each projects I think it would be handy to be able to add projects by folders (if not automatically fetched in the default site path).
This could also enable users to archive / restore projects backups.
