Replacing `wp-content` folder causes error

What issue or error are you experiencing?

Hi! I pulled a wp-content folder from a Github repo and replaced the default one that spins up when creating a new site. But for some reason, a “too many redirects” error. When I switch it back to the default one, the error goes away. I’m unable to find any type of logs to indicate what might be happening here. Any help?

What steps can be taken to replicate the issue? Feel free to include screenshots, videos, etc

Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Have you tried disabling plugins or swapping the theme to see if that helps resolve the error? There could be a conflict there.

You might also try changing your Router Mode. Preferences>Advanced>Router Mode

Thank you, Nick! I had to go super manual and go into my mu-plugins directory and delete each one until I found the one that was causing issues. Kind of annoying but I found the culprit mu-plugin and just threw it out the window for now, lol.

It just wouldn’t be developing if you didn’t have to do a little old fashioned process of elimination haha

I’m glad you found the culprit and can move on now! :green_heart:
