Setting up Local with PHPStorm

Issue Summary

I want to use phpStorm for a project in Local. I am following these instructions to set up CLI for PHPstorm. When I attempt to configure phpstorm, I get the error message on the screenshot. I followed this forum thread and posted there but no response.

Thank you Marshall for this. I have spent the entire night searching for a solution to this problem, and at least I can now see where the problem is. I have followed the steps you outlined and I still get the error shown on the screen. However, when I looked into the .idea folder, I do not see the workspace.xml file. What could I be missing in this set up? Thank you, Patrick [error local]

Troubleshooting Questions

• Does this happen for all sites in Local, or just one in particular?

• Are you able to create a new, plain WordPress site in Local and access it in a Browser?

Security Reminder

Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.
