Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Please I need help with my installation as I am new to Local. I have tried most of the recommendations on here but can’t seem to get a resolution. I am using windows 10 OS. The error message is the long Uh-Oh unable to connect port 10005 or something similar. At this point, a remote session if possible might be necessary because I seem to be out of ideas.
I hope that all is well. I am having the same problem as muthokah. After a Local update to Version 8.1.0+6514 today, I can no longer open my website on Chrome in Mac OS Ventura 13.6.1 (22G313). I have attached a screenshot of the error and a copy of the Local’s latest log.
If you create a new, blank site in Local can you access that okay? If you can, then you may want to try reimporting the site getting the errors. The steps would look like this:
Locate the site files on your machine, and save a copy of them to your desktop. If you click Go to Site Folder under your site name it should take you right to where they are located.
Once you have those copied, completely delete the site from Local
Thank you so much for your response! Yes, I can create a new, blank site. But I am nervous about deleting the site before I know that the re-import will work. May I please ask if I could create a new blank site and then import the files into it?
You can absolutely do that! You can also back up your site by simply exporting it and creating zip file copy to store. Or you can use our Cloud Backups add on! Cloud Backups
There are instructions in here that will explain how to do a manual restore:
Thank you so much! I already jumped in and deleted the site. Now I am hoping that I can follow your instructions to re-import the site files. Here goes. . .
