GOOD MORNING,

I INSTALLED LOCAL AND WANT TO START A NEW SITE. I CLICKED ON NEW SITE AND THEN IT STAYS ON “STARTING UP SITE SERVICES” AND STAYS LIKE THIS FOREVER AND

Hi all!

i have the same issue, managed on my mac to setup one site, but the second site hangs on the Staring up site services. Same as the screenshot above. I’ve now installed this also on my macbook, there i’ve got 3 sites running with no issues yet.

Anyone ?

Same issue here. so +1 in number of recent cases

Downloaded version of today on a MAC
it is older version however Moc OS High Sierra 10.13.6

It has something to do with local accessing the hosts file on a Mac. The workaround i found is to add 2 new sites, the first one will complete the setup when you allow access to the hosts file for the second site. Then i delete the second setup and delete the files and folder via finder.

I’m also running High Sierra on my iMac. The weird thing is, the first site was added without any problems. Any other after that one never completed until i found a workaround by adding 2 in a row and deleting.

This works for me as well on a iMac running 10.13.6

Thank you, James! Adding two sites works for me too! Also, running MacOS High Sierra.

Change access permissions your local site directory.

  1. Open your terminal
  2. cd ~
  3. chmod -R 777 Local\ Sites/

Done.

Same problem here. macOS 10.13.6, Local 5.6.6.
Giving full permission, as @tarunawahyudi said, can’t resolve the problem.

Any suggestion?
