I am trying to install wordpress via Local and I’m stuck at waiting for Local to Install Wordpress. The app is loading and loading forever not finishing the setup.
I am asked some administrator permissions even though I run Local as an administrator.
I accept those permissions and HOST REDIRECTION notification appears but doesn’t let me say yes or no.
I am using latest version of Local on windows 10.

Anyone knows what’s the problem with this?
Hi @robac, I am assuming there is a hidden pop-up somewhere (maybe behind Local?) that needs to be accepted. Local is not able to edit that directory, which is why “Adding Wordpress” never completes.
If you expand that notification, it doesn’t offer you the ability to accept? You could also manually change the permissions for the /etc/hosts file in a terminal if you’re comfortable doing that, but that shouldn’t be necessary.
Hi, Rohbau! This happened to me as well and the problem was, that I had installed Local first and WordPress after. Therefore I uninstalled both of them and proceeded with the opposite: at first the download and installation of WordPress and afterwards the one of Loca. It worked.
