The Application support/Local/run directory is bigger than my installs' directory

Issue Summary

The “run” directory inside “~/Library/Application Support/Local/” is bigger in size than all my installs together. The bulk of it seems to be binary log (binlog) files under /mysql.

Is this some kind of database cache? Can I delete it?
