Security Reminder
Local does a pretty good job of scrubbing private info from the logs and the errors it produces, however there’s always the possibility that something private can come through. Because these are public forums, always review the screenshots you are sharing to make sure there isn’t private info like passwords being displayed.

Hi @jimrothgeb

Are you on Windows? If you are you may need to check and see if you are logged in as an Admin user.

If you’re still having trouble can you provide some more details and include some screenshots? You should be able to just drag and drop them into the comments here.

I attached some additional details showing being logged in as an Admin user.

Do you have any security or user management plugins on the site?

You could try disabling these via CLI, or creating a new admin user for yourself. From the Local app if you click on “Open Shell” you could run a command like wp plugin deactivate --all or for the Admin workflow you could use the information here:

Changing the database name to exclude the use of upper-case letters - change them to lower-case, for the meta key _capabilities and _user_level solves the problem.

Good catch @jimrothgeb! This is a known issue with Windows:
