Trying to install Local for the first time and it won't

Issue Summary

New to Local. Trying to install. It won’t.

Troubleshooting Questions

I download. I install in the Applications folder. I click the icon.

"A JavaScript error occured in the main process. Uncaught Exception: Error: Command failed: ioreg -cd1 -c IOPlatformExpertDevice /bin/sh: ioreg: command not found.

Same thing occurs when using Brew.

Replication

Install Local. Click on the icon. See the error message.

System Details

  • Which version of Local is being used?
    5.10.5-mac

  • What Operating System (OS) and OS version is being used?
    MacOS Big Sur Version 11.3.1

  • Attach the Local Log. See this Community Forum post for instructions on how to do so:
    Local has not opened yet.
