I installed V 2.4.2 on Windows 10 64bit OS
and created a local site,
but there’s this message saying…

Warning! Missing hosts entry. This site may be inaccessible. [FIX IT]
…
and when I click on [FIX IT]
I’m getting this "Uh-oh! Could not update hosts file " Error message.
how can I fix this problem~?

I have had the same issue and ended in me deleting my site after the update! Help!
Sorry for the trouble with the hosts file.
The hosts file may be locked or may not be in the correct place. Please following the instructions here: Help! I'm running into an EPERM error with the hosts file on Windows
If the steps above don’t help, please provide your log file by following the steps here How do I retrieve Local’s log file? so we can get a better idea on why Local is unable to update the hosts file.

Hi Clay, I am having the same issue as Will here.
I have tried unblocking the host but found that “Read Only” was already unchecked.
This didn’t work.
I then went to Kaspersky Internet security and made sure that it was set to Trusted.
It still didn’t work. So Excluded “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts”.
It still didn’t work so I am now going to upload my logs if you could help me out it would be awesome.
